Boat Ramp Construction Vancouver

At Blue Water Systems, we design and build safe, durable access solutions tailored to BC’s coastal environments. Whether you need a custom bridge to connect access points, a boat ramp for daily use, a floating walkway for your shoreline, or a gangway that ties seamlessly into your dock, our team delivers systems that are site specific and built to last. No prefab shortcuts  just quality craftsmanship designed for real world conditions.

Wide Variety of Options

Our Canadian Welding Bureau certified shop specializes in lightweight, corrosion resistant aluminum truss frames and custom fabrication up to 120′ long. We build pedestrian and utility bridges, ramps, gangways, piers, and floating walkways  all tailored for commercial marinas, industrial terminals, and residential waterfronts. Full installation services are also available.

What We Build

Bridges

We build pedestrian and vehicular bridges engineered for safety and durability. Each bridge is tailored to site conditions, span length, and load requirements.

Boat Ramps

We build permanent or seasonal boat ramps that work with your site’s slope and water conditions. Our ramps handle trailers, small vessels, and emergency access. Surface options include concrete, composite, and aluminum.

Dock Ramps & Transitions

Connect your floating dock to land with a stable, hinged ramp. These ramps adjust with tidal movement and provide smooth, safe access. We build in aluminum or steel with non-slip decking.

Gangways

Need a bridge between your dock and shore or between vessels? We fabricate gangways for residential docks, commercial terminals, and ships. All gangways meet safety codes and can be custom sized for your space.

Walkways & Floating Paths

We design floating walkways for wetland trails, shoreline parks, and marina access. These walkways are stable, easy to install, and built to handle public or private use. Ask us about floating walkways for sale or custom builds.

Wheelchair Accessible Systems

We build long, smooth sloped platforms and ramps for full accessibility including proven systems used by False Creek Ferries and Aquabus.

Counterbalanced Ramps

For rougher waters, we offer standard aluminum ramps with counterbalanced systems. Hydraulic cylinders manage the ramp's response to waves, with speed adjustment and optional remote control.

Materials & Features

We only use materials proven in harsh marine environments.

  • Aluminum or galvanized steel frames
  • Composite, timber, or aluminum decking
  • Stainless steel or galvanized hardware
  • Fixed, hinged, or floating options
